It is a shame to see a group of indigenous people here in America being exploited for their land and natural resources. The Navajo being subjected to third world conditions is a key example of lawmakers displaying only ethnocentric views. This exploration is a sure encroachment upon the Navajo's human rights.
Due to the Navajos small numbers it is hard for their local agency to make an impact national agenda. What is necessary is lawmaker in Washington to respond to the Navajo's attempts and to practice the 5 cross-culturally sensitive strategies. It is also essential for these members of government to display cultural realistic ideals and realize that just because the Navajo may be different their ideals of land stewardship are not only different but most likely correct.
Great Ben! Thanks. Please, read the comments I made on the blog, all of them, and as a group plan things you need to change here, and your strategy for your final presentation. This is a very interesting blog. Congrats!
Good comment, as I said before Ben. Please, do remember that you will need to talk for at least 4 minutes. Do not just show the video. Refer people to it, and maybe describe what it means to you, and use some of your reflective comment. It is, of course, a plus to relate all this to course content. Thanks
